About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic team member who will be pursuing the role of a
Project Associate to co-lead the implementation of Cloket's Upcycling Project. The successful
candidate will play a key role in realizing the project's objectives, which include creating
livelihood opportunities, conserving cultural heritage, and establishing a sustainable ecosystem
for upcycled products.

Requirements

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in project management, particularly in the realm of sustainable and socially impactful initiatives. (preferable, not necessary) Freshers can apply.

  • In-depth knowledge of upcycling processes and expertise in the textile industry. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve successful project outcomes.

  • Familiarity with digital platforms and e-commerce strategies for product sales.

  • Dedication to principles of sustainability, cultural heritage preservation, and community empowerment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work/Community Development/Social Entrepreneurship/Business Administration, or a relevant field.

  • Previous experience as a Project Assistant, Coordinator, or Manager with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration.

  • Proficient in using MS Office applications.

  • Knowledgeable about industry best practices and proficient in various project management methodologies.

  • Proficiency in Assamese, Hindi, and English languages.

The Upcycling Project envisions the establishment of diverse sales channels, including B2B, B2C, and B2G, fostering a broader market for upcycled products. A pivotal aspect involves the development of a digital platform, acting as a hub for product sales and the onboarding of local and domestic textile waste suppliers, artisan clusters, brands, organizations, and individual artists. This platform, in the form of a website, aims to directly connect these stakeholders with customers, fostering a sustainable ecosystem

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution: - Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive project plan to achieve the project's goals and objectives. - Oversee the implementation of upcycling processes, ensuring the efficient utilization of post-production and post-consumption textile waste. 


2. Stakeholder Management: - Coordinate with local and domestic textile waste suppliers, artisan clusters, designers, brands, organisations, and individual artists. - Facilitate collaboration and communication among stakeholders to ensure the successful onboarding and participation in the project. 


3. Sales Channel Development: - Contribute to establishing diverse sales channels, including B2B, B2C, and B2G, to broaden the market for upcycled products. - Lead the development of a digital platform (website) to connect stakeholders directly with customers, fostering a sustainable sales ecosystem. 


4. Supply Chain Management: - Implement a robust source and supply system for both post-production and post-consumption textile waste to ensure a continuous and reliable supply for upcycled product manufacturing. - Collaborate with artisan groups, organizations, and brands to streamline the sourcing process. 


5. Deliverables Oversight: - Ensure the standardization of upcycled products, incorporating indigenous motifs and storytelling elements. - Oversee the development of a web app platform for the visibility and sales of artisans. - Establish and maintain consistent sales channels, including contracts with B2B entities, over-the-shelf retailers, brands, and distributors. 


6. Digital Product Passport Integration: - Emphasize the development and integration of Digital Product Passports, providing a narrative for artisans and incorporating a take-back model focused on recycling, upcycling, and resale. 


7. Monitoring: - Prepare and update documentation for tracking and reporting project implementation - Send daily reports to the supervisory team - Regular Field Visit artisan facilities for regular updates, grievances and efficient delivery

Additional Information

- Position Type: Contract Basis 6 Months (Might extend upon good results) 

- Location: Guwahati, Assam 

- 1st 3 months Probation Period 

- Full Time - Salary: Rs 10,000 - Rs 15,000 p.m (Based on experience and output)
